Yankees Spring training

By Jake Caddeau
A few days ago I went to a Yankees vs. Pirates baseball game in Bradenton Florida. In pretty much the middle of the 5th inning, within an hour of getting of the plane It happened. Derek Jeter my absolute idol, role model, whatever, hit a fly ball down the right field line about two rows behind me. The ball hit off a chair back there and the old man infront of me caught it. I guess he was thanking me for telling him so many of the players stats without even using a roster, or maybe it was that he couldtell I loved baseball, and not just for money or fame, I love baseball for baseball. Anyway he dropped the ball into my glove! I was so excited I started showing it to my couisin Bobby and my dad and all the people around me. I called my mom and she started watching the game on her computer. A woman behind me offered me $20 for the ball but I said,"NO WAY!!!" I would never trade 20 bucks for a Derek Jeter foul ball, I mean dude, this even topped Joba's wave.

The Lightning Thief

By Jake Caddeau
I just read the Lightning Thief and started the Sea of Monsters just this afternoon. All I can think is: Whoa! That is the best book ever! The Lightning Thief is a story about a boy named Percy Jackson, not to be confused with Peter Johnson, (You'll get it when you read the book!) who discovers that the Greek Gods are real and that all the heros and creatures from all those myths are real too. Percy must fight Monsters in aquest to do something that I won't tell you because it would ruin the book. I think that it is the best book ever but I haven't read the two sequels.

P.S. It doesn't get exciting until page 70 about so don't make the same mistake I did the first time I tried it!
