Jeremy's Crib
By Jake Caddeau
Jeremy Wachtel is now up and about and walking around. He walks over to you and gives you a hug, or gets a cookie! He has been talking for a while but flowing sentences probably won't come until 2 1/2 or 3 years old. He loves to watch us play games but espescially Twister, and sometimes he trys to play!

Birds at the Wachtel's
By Jake Caddeau
Today, Razzy, Nathaniel, Duncan, and I (I being Jake) were hanging out upstairs in Nathaniels house when we heard a crash and as we looked out the window saw some feathers floating down to the ground. We ran outside to find a bird lying on the ground. Razzy iddentified it as a woodpecker and asked us to go get some garden gloves so he could pick it up. Raz said it had some brocken ribs but that was all. We brought him the gloves and he picked up the bird and moved it into the sun. As we were setting up the home the bird flew away but we still made the home, just for other birds. I'm pretty sure Raz is going to be an animal guy like Jeff Corwin when he grows up.

Joba Rules
By Jake Caddeau
Yankees Spring training in Tampa Florida began last week. Stars like Derek Jeter, Alex Rodrigues, Jorge Posada, and Joba Chamberlain have started to work out and get ready to play. Joba Chamberlain, a rookie last year, who is now one of the key contributers on the Yankees, was seen asking Mike Mussina if he wanted to play some video games. The Moose said no, he wasn't a video game type of guy. Joba asked him if he'd rather play pingpong. Mussina just walked out of the room into the corridor. When Mussina was in the hallway Chamberlain yelled, "Does not hearing things come with old age?" The Moose walked back in and said, "Nope, I hear everything" and they both doubled over in laughter. Joba is also very popular among his teammates and other Yankees can be seen wearing T-shirts that say, "Joba Rules" on the front.

Spiderwick Chronicles book to movie Comparison/review
By Jake Caddeau and Nathaniel Wachtel
The Spiderwick Chronicles is one our series. We love the books! The movie had some really good parts and it was overall pretty good, but the books were better. Some of the details in the movie were wrong, like how Mulgawrath, the evil villian looked. I think that you should see the movies but you should read the books first.

Tennessee #1
By Jake Caddeau
Yesterday the Tennessee Mens basketball team played the Undefeated and #1 Memphis in an in state rivalry. Tennessee started on top with a couple of threes but Memphis came back and by halftime were leading by one point. In the second half many players started to cramp or get hurt some other way and though Memphis took many free throws they didn’t make any. With three minutes left in the game Tennessee drained a three to set them ahead by two points. Tennessee’s Chris Lofton later knocked down a few free throws to seal the deal and give Tennessee the #1 spot in the nation for college basketball. The season isn't over yet though!
